Opening Reflection
In this sobering message, we walk through John 8:30–47 and Romans 3:1–13 to confront the reality of our condition apart from Jesus Christ. Scripture reveals that humanity, separated from God, is fallen, sinful by nature, and unable to produce true righteousness on its own. This message is a call to stop placing confidence in this fading life and to abide in Jesus Christ, the only eternal Life.
The House That Cannot Remain
In this message, we examined the reality that the earthly house we now dwell in—our mortal bodies—cannot remain forever because of sin. Apart from Christ, mankind is bound to corruption, spiritual death, and separation from the life of God. Jesus reveals in John 8 that the servant does not abide in the house forever, but the Son abides forever. Outside of Christ, man has no lasting inheritance, no eternal standing, and no true life within himself. The flesh is temporary, fading, and unable to sustain eternal life.
Yet through Jesus Christ, there is hope beyond this mortal house. Those who abide in Him are brought into the Truth, freed from deception, and given the promise of eternal life through the Son who abides forever. This message is a call to stop placing confidence in temporary flesh and to abide fully in Jesus Christ—the only eternal foundation and source of everlasting life.

Examine What You Are Building Your Life Upon
- Are you placing confidence in temporary things that cannot remain?
- Have you truly abided in Christ, or only around Christian things?
- Are you seeking righteousness through effort, or through surrender to Jesus Christ?
- What areas of your life reveal dependence on the flesh instead of dependence on the Son?
- Are you daily abiding in the Truth through prayer, Scripture, and obedience?

Final Encouragement
