Opening Reflection
In this episode of Our Daily Bread, we reflect on Isaiah 9:6 and the unexpected ways God often answers His people. While many anticipated a mighty earthly king, God sent a child — a promise in seed form that would ultimately bring salvation to the world.

When God’s Answer Comes as a Seed
In this message, we explored how human expectations can sometimes blind us to the way God chooses to move. Israel longed for deliverance and expected power, authority, and visible earthly rule. Yet God answered through the humble birth of Jesus Christ — not merely a political ruler, but the Savior of the world.
Isaiah 9:6 reveals the beauty of God’s wisdom: a child born, a Son given, carrying within Him the fullness of God’s eternal kingdom. What appeared small and unexpected contained the fulfillment of prophecy, redemption, and everlasting hope.
Often in our own lives, God works similarly. His answers may begin in ways that seem hidden, humble, or incomplete. We may pray for immediate outcomes while God begins planting seeds that require faith, patience, and trust to fully understand.
This message is a call to trust God’s process, even when His answers do not immediately match our expectations. The seed He gives may carry far greater purpose than we can presently see.
